We just finished a busy week in Atlanta showcasing at the Hearth Patio & Barbecue Expo, and what a show it was! Dimplex showcased some new innovative products in our media consoles, mantels and wall-mount categories and they all received rave reviews as people packed our booth everyday to see what we had in store. The show focuses on everything to do with hearth products and outdoor creations, from outdoor wall sconces to patio heaters to grills and everything flame related, that is why Dimplex fits right in.
We showcased our new wall-mount products on a very large wall display for all to see, this presentation allowed everyone from our reps to dealers to potential consumers to stand back and enjoy our full product line in all its glory.
The most talked about product in our booth was definitely our Optimyst II and mantel package, the realistic glowing logs and billowing smoke created a beautiful illusion of a real burning fire. The Optimyst II insert was surrounded by a stunning mantel made of rich colours and intense detail, it is sure to be the focal point in any room.
If you like what you see, be sure to check back on the site often as our showcase pieces are set to launch in the fall.
You can’t go to the show without stopping for a visit in the outdoor burn area, here exhibitors showcase their products live as you are not able to run gas fireplaces or any type of live fire inside the convention center, however with electric this is not a problem as we were able to fully show all our products had to offer in the comfort of the indoors as safety is not a factor with our electric fireplaces. Walking through the burn area makes you pretty hungry, with so many grills cooking only the best food, it is sure to make anyone’s stomach ache and mouth water for something to eat.
A first for this year’s show was the tailgating event which Dimplex participated in. It was an hour and a half of cooking up sliders on our PowerChef grill, while marching bands and mascots walked by and everyone had a smile on their face. The event was very successful as we constantly had a line up at our booth for our grilled mini burgers and even famed grilling professional Ted Reader was busy hosting a cook-off at the booth for The Big Green Egg.
Although my feet are a little sore and my clothes smell of barbecue, I can’t argue with what a great show it was. Looking forward to doing it all over again next year in Orlando.
