Just last week we received this great review on one of our internet dealers from “Deck Griller” in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada. The reviewer had purchased one of our PowerChef Metro grills and had this to say;
This was just the grill that I’ve been looking for – a small, transportable covered barbecue with a stainless steel easy-to-clean cooking surface. Being “snowbirds”, we wanted to take a small barbecue down south to enjoy grilling during the winter months. The surface is remarkably large for entertaining purposes as well as for preparing an entire meal. And regulating the heat for great grill markings is so easy. Now if only the cover had a handle on both ends so I could lift the cover with one hand as I’m flipping burgers with the other . . . !
These are the reviews that really show how the PowerChef grill can be a great product for those in need.

I bought recently model pbq-120-metro. It’s very nice but I miss more instructions and couldn’t find anywhere on the web. I would like to know how much time to cook and what power to use for different kind of meat. Is it possible to get that information somewhere. I don’t need recepies. Thanks

Hello Gordana,
The grill cooks the same as any other grill, and by trying out different temperatures you will get a feel for what you are comfortable with.
If you want to sear the meat, you will want to have full heat, if you want to slow cook your meat or vegetables, you would lower the heat level. Their are no specific temperatures set for types of meat, its based on how you want to cook your favorite meats.

I am trying to get the model number of my glass front fireplace and an instruction book, but no luck. The fireplace is not working. East Coast Fireplace, Freehold, NJ, where I purchased it, tells me it needs reprogramming but they don’t do it. Help, Help, HELP!!!

I have the DFP15-1134NG / DFP15-1140E model. It would be great if you offered a remote upgrade that could turn the unit on and off based on temperature.
Thanks,
Paul

Thanks for your feedback, I will forward this to our product development team for future products. At this point I believe that we are no longer manufacturing this product.

We got a BF33STP that comes with my condo unit. It has worked well but we’re getting tired of it’s look. Is the log set and fire effect upgradable? It’d be nice if we can somehow retrofit it to use LED and OptiMyst!

Hi Henry, thanks very much for your comment and apologies for the delay in replying. I was able to check with one of our technicians and his answer was that unfortunately, there is no direct replacement for the interior components of a firebox. If you are able to remove the existing unit, it can be replaced by a BFSL33 which does have LED flame. Thanks and have a great day!
